Hi everyone! Doa here. 👋😁
Long time no see — and what a day to return with an update!
Today, our group set out to explore a new dive site, Touma No.4, a rocky point marked by two small caves and crystal-clear, 10/10 visibility… 🤿

We started the day surrounded by Banded sea snakes (Laticauda colubrina) 🐍— at least six different young individuals weaving gracefully through the water. Spotting that many in the first 10 minutes felt like a rare treat and set the tone for an exciting adventure.

Not long after, we encountered an unexpected little star of the day: a Red-spotted blenny (Blenniella chrysospilos), a relative of frogfish. 🐸 Peeking out from its tiny hole, it treated us to its adorable head-bobbing behavior. Even with our curious faces close by, it stayed confidently in place, as if posing for us.

As we continued toward the caves, two Banded pipefish (Corythoichthys haematopterus) appeared at the entrance. For those unfamiliar with them, they’re close relatives of seahorses — slender, flat, and weirdly snake-like-bodied versions.
Our luck didn’t end there. At our final spot, we found ourselves surrounded by a large school of baby reef squid, hovering gracefully at about five meters deep. Watching them pulse and shift in perfect synchrony was pure magic. 🦑🦑🦑

And then came the highlight of the day: a close encounter with an elegant Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus). Calm, curious, and completely unforgettable — the perfect grand finale to an already extraordinary day. 🦈

It was truly a memorable day, full of diverse marine life and surprises at every turn! 🌊✨
Thank you for reading! See you in another monologue! 🤗
